The Tagfaster Single Slaughter Sheep tag conforms to the requirements of modern, sheep EID, tagging rules. Every lambing time, there's a whole new round of tagging lambs intended for slaughter before their first birthday. For these animals, a single ear tag may be used. Since 2015, these have been yellow EID tags containing an individual identification number. The Tagfaster system enables this work to be handled much more efficiently.

If you prefer, we also supply Eezy ID tags, for all your sheep identification needs. These are available in single tags for lambs destined for early slaughter or as pairs for sheep breeding tags.

Sheep EID tagging rules require all sheep older than 12 months to carry two identifiers, with the same identification number. Since 2010, one of these tags has had to be an electronic sheep tag.
If you subsequently decide to keep a lamb past its first year, you must update its sheep slaughter tag to a pair of breeding tags, one of which must be EID. Just let us know and we’ll make sure to send you the right tags for your needs.
